It's a well-known fact that Tail spend raise major challenges around operational efficiency as well as internal customer satisfaction. At the Universités des Achats 2020 event, a digital workshop presented a proven method of (finally) getting this procurement category under control: Savin'side®

The challenges and best practices for optimising Tail spend were scrutinised throughout the workshop by the three participants:

  • Jean-Luc Baras, Chief Procurement Officer of the Eiffage Group and President of the French National Procurement Council
  • Pierre-Olivier Brial, Managing Director of the Manutan Group
  • and Antoine Compin, Deputy Managing Director of Manutan France

In short, the Savin'side® method helps companies to control their Tail spend by optimising the Total Costs of Ownership (TCO).

Based on data and collaboration, the Savin'side® method thus provides the opportunity to combine data analysis with an efficient relational strategy, an association that will allow procurement departments to optimise their Tail spend.
