At Manutan, as the special point of contact for business teams in gathering, challenging, and structuring needs, the business analyst helps build the information system of tomorrow. They employ agile methods and open innovation to gain efficiency.

Their main tasks are to:

  • Gather business needs
  • Identify problems and find suitable solutions to respond to them
  • Draft specifications that detail the developments to be made
  • Coordinate the different stakeholders (business teams and various IT stakeholders)
  • Support the business teams in writing test cases and running them
  • Train and support users when new tools are put in place

A business analyst must combine good listening, analytical and summarising skills. Open-minded and good at communicating, they must know how to ask the right questions and rephrase the answers if necessary to guarantee full understanding of the needs. Because they unite the stakeholders, they must also have a sense of collective spirit and find fulfilment in a team.
