Employee profile: Glenn Semey, European Strategic Accounts Leader

At Manutan, internal mobility is a key driver to support talent in their development. Glenn Semey, European Strategic Accounts Leader within the Manutan Group, tells us about his career’s development up to his new position with a European scope. 

What has your journey at Manutan been like?

Since 2013, I’ve taken care of Key Accounts customers at Manutan Belgium, firstly as a Key Account Manager, then in the position of Business Development Manager when I took on a managerial role. 

On the strength of this experience, I’ve recently had the opportunity to join the European Exports and Accounts team, as European Strategic Accounts Leader. I’ve been able to count on valuable support from my line managers who have helped me get to grips with the role.

What is your new role in this job?

I’ll be able to focus on customers who have several sites in Europe and work with all the European subsidiaries and export teams. It’s both a wonderful challenge and an honour to see the trust the division places in me. 

Which values are particularly important to you?

At Manutan, we love relationships, whether with customers, employees, suppliers… This is why transparency, communication, and sincerity are values that are an integral part of our everyday lives. “Entrepreneurship for a Better World” isn’t just a phrase that’s displayed on the company’s walls; it’s a mission that drives us all.
