For this role, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team as ‘Brand Manager – Own Brands’. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to increase product awareness, drive sales, and enhance brand positioning of our own brand product portfolio, which currently consists of seven brands. Your role will be crucial in shaping the messaging and positioning of our products, conducting market research, and delivering compelling marketing campaigns.

About the Accountabilities:

  • Review the branding of all brands in our own brand product portfolio.
  • Define the brand architecture for our own brand product portfolio, ensuring clear positioning and hierarchies in terms of Good, Better, Best and that they are easily identifiable as belonging to IronmongeryDirect through a clear and consistent visual identity.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive research-based product marketing strategies for our own product portfolio, aligned to our Category Management roadmap.
  • Plan and execute multichannel marketing campaigns to generate incremental revenue for our own brand products.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans for new products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing the product launches and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive GTM strategy.
  • Ensure regular communication with our Category Management team to understand performance of these lines and marketing to ensure optimum visibility and incremental sales of own brand products.
  • Work with the Merchandising team to craft clear and compelling messaging for our own brand website landing pages and ensuring our own brand products are positioned correctly.
  • Work with the Marketing and Ecomms team to develop and optimise marketing campaigns and product promotions to drive sales of own brands through push and pull marketing campaigns to existing and new customers.
  • Conduct customer, competitor, and internal research to understand sales performance and customer perception of own brands to inform product positioning and marketing strategy.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, understanding the competitive landscape, realising the USPs of our own brands and identifying motivations to switch from competitor brands to our own.
  • Leverage customer testimonials and case studies to build credibility and trust in the market and understand the voice of the customer and build on customer advocacy.

Qualities and skills needed

About You:

  • Extensive experience in product marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creatively minded, analytical and results oriented.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environment.
  • Proficient in using Google Analytics.
  • Experience in conducting research.
  • CIM qualifications desirable, but not essential.
