IronmongeryDirect has made it its mission to open up the conversation around this major societal issue, highlighting the importance of speaking up and sharing support tools available to those who may be struggling. 

IronmongeryDirect raises awareness through a series of nationwide media campaigns. Central to this approach is the publication of its annual Mental Health in the Trades Report, which examines the breadth of the issue by combining research data and real stories to uncover underlying causes, and the factors preventing tradespeople from seeking help. For the latest edition published during Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, UK tradespeople were surveyed to gain deeper insight into the challenges they face.

IronmongeryDirect also supports Basildon Mind through donations and dedicated fundraising initiatives. To date, the company has donated over £13,000 to the charity, which works to improve mental health and wellbeing within local communities by providing advice, support and activities to those who need it most.
