Our UK subsidiaries mobilise for their community
As part of its CSR strategy, the Manutan Group is committed to contributing to the economic and social development of the regions where it operates. This involves long-standing partnerships as well as occasional charitable actions. Here’s an overview of recent initiatives carried out by our various UK subsidiaries to support their ecosystem.
Rapid Racking, a subsidiary specialising in shelving and storage solutions, shares its resources and expertise with local charities. This was the case with the Friendship Café run by the Tetbury Area Youth and Community Trust: an intergenerational space aimed at combating loneliness and isolation in the region. Due to the increasing number of visitors, the organisation was looking to optimise its storage system. Our teams analysed their needs, designed a tailor-made solution, and provided and installed the equipment free of charge.
To mark Valentine's Day, IronmongeryDirect, our subsidiary specialising in the distribution of hardware products to tradespeople, organised a week-long series of activities involving its employees. The aim was to remind everyone of the importance of caring for one another. Among the various actions was a food collection. Thanks to everyone’s involvement, four boxes filled to the brim were donated to The Salvation Army.
Every year, Findel supports Children's Mental Health Week. This time, our school supplies distribution subsidiary was one of the official sponsors of the event, alongside its partner Place2Be. On this occasion, employees took part in the “Miles for Smiles” charity run. The goal was to cover as many miles as possible through walking, running, or cycling to raise funds. In total, more than €3,000 was collected thanks to our teams' efforts and donated to this cause.
All these actions were made possible through the collective mobilisation and generosity of our employees. Together, we continue to uphold our mission: Enterprising for a Better World.
