Manutan joins CDP and the United Nations Global Compact

13 March 2026

Manutan Group, the European leader in B2B e-commerce, has joined two leading global voluntary initiatives dedicated to sustainability: CDP, the benchmark for environmental reporting, and the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s leading framework for responsible business engagement. By aligning with these international standards, we strengthen our ability to provide our stakeholders with transparent, measurable and globally recognized sustainability performance, while reinforcing our ambition to enterprise for a better World.

Publishing our carbon data through CDP

We disclosed our carbon data through the CDP for the year 2024/25 and we plan to continue our disclosure for the year 2025/26 financial year as well as opting to be scored.

CDP operates the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system, enabling organisations to measure, compare and manage their environmental impacts. To date, more than 23,000 companies, representing around two-thirds of global market capitalisation, disclose their environmental data through the platform.

Following the validation of our climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we are now taking a further step in structuring our carbon roadmap. Together, SBTi target validation and CDP disclosure provide a robust framework to both define our climate ambition and transparently track progress.  For our customers and suppliers, disclosing through the CDP provides reliable and comparable environmental data that supports responsible procurement, Scope 3 emissions management and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.

Our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact

Since 2 January 2026, we have officially become a member of the United Nations Global Compact, joining more than 20,000 companies worldwide that are committed to responsible and sustainable business practices.

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest voluntary corporate sustainability initiative. It provides a universal framework for responsible business conduct across human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

The Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact

  1. Support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights.
  2. Ensure that businesses are not complicit in human rights abuses.
  3. Uphold freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.
  4. Eliminate all forms of forced and compulsory labour.
  5. Abolish child labour in all its forms.
  6. Eliminate discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
  7. Support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.
  8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
  9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
  10. Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Through this commitment, we pledge to integrate these principles into our strategy, corporate culture and day-to-day operations, while also participating in collaborative initiatives that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This includes strengthening responsible sourcing practices, enhancing supply chain due diligence, supporting ethical labour standards and reinforcing governance across our international operations.

This commitment also entails enhanced transparency. In this regard, we will publish our first Communication on Progress (CoP) by 31 July 2027, outlining the actions implemented and the results achieved.

At a time when regulatory expectations, investor scrutiny and customer requirements on ESG performance are accelerating across Europe, Manutan Group’s decision to join both CDP and the United Nations Global Compact marks an important step forward in strengthening its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.  These milestones reinforce Manutan Group’s ambition to lead sustainable B2B commerce in Europe by combining performance, transparency and long-term value creation for customers, partners and society.
