Manutan & Abrona, a partnership with a strong social impact

Manutan Netherlands and Abrona, a social inclusion organisation that supports people with mental or psychological disabilities, are long-standing partners. For more than seven years, they have been helping people to re-establish a social and professional life, while supporting the local employment market in the province of Utrecht.

Around ten people with disabilities work for Manutan. They prepare, pack and send promotional items to our customers. They carry out this activity from the organisation's premises, which are only a few steps from our Dutch headquarters, and are supervised by Abrona supervisors.

This enables these people, who were initially far from employment, to find their way back to work and play an active part in local economic life. In particular, it helps them to regain their self-esteem by carrying out rewarding tasks, but also to develop professionally. 

To thank them for their tremendous involvement and strengthen the links with our teams, our Dutch subsidiary recently wanted to mark the occasion by organising a memorable activity. Last September, we took off in small groups for a hot-air balloon ride! 

This partnership illustrates perfectly Manutan's CSR commitments towards a better society.
