Four new appointments within the Manutan Group

Within the framework of its growth and the development of its activities, the Manutan Group is strengthening its governance. The European leader in B2B e-commerce has announced four new appointments within the Local Authorities and Companies Division; of which three are internal promotions. This emphasises its dynamism and desire to promote internal mobility as a driver in the development of employees and the company.

Vincent Sans, Deputy Managing Director of Manutan Collectivités

With over twenty years’ experience at Manutan Collectivités and having spent the last seven years as Director of Customer Operations and a member of the Executive Board, Vincent Sans became Deputy Managing Director of Manutan Collectivities, the French subsidiary specialising in local authorities, in March . He reports to Philippe Mallard, Managing Director of the Local Authorities Division, and joined the Local Authorities Division Management Board on 1 October .

Laurent Michel, Deputy Managing Director of Casal Sport

With over twelve years’ experience at Casal Sport as Marketing, E-commerce and Product Offer Manager and seven years on the Executive Board, Laurent Michel has been entrusted with the management of the subsidiary specialising in sports equipment. On 1 October 2022, Laurent Michel was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Casal Sport and joined the Local Authorities Division Management Board. He also reports to Philippe Mallard, Managing Director of the Local Authorities Division.

Ghislaine Ottevanger, Managing Director of Manutan Benelux and Germany

After studying law at Leiden University, Ghislaine Ottevanger has built her career in the logistics sector, where she has mainly occupied sales and general management roles. 

Convinced by the Manutan Group’s strategy, in which employees and customers play an essential role, Ghislaine Ottevanger joined the Manutan Group as Managing Director of Manutan Benelux and Germany on 1 October.  Reporting to Ramon Kok, Managing Director of the Companies Division, she is on the Companies Division Management Board.

Jonathan Metcalfe, Managing Director of the Companies Division in the United Kingdom as well as in the northern and eastern countries.

With twenty years’ experience in the B2B distribution field, Jonathan Metcalfe has occupied both strategic and operational roles at Staples and RS Components, in particular in the field of sales, marketing and e-commerce. With over four years’ experience in the Manutan Group as Managing Director of the Companies Division in the United Kingdom, his geographical scope was extended on 1 October.  

Jonathan Metcalfe has therefore become Managing Director of the Companies Division in the United Kingdom and in the northern and eastern countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary). Reporting to Ramon Kok, Managing Director of the Companies Division, he is also on the Group Operational Board and the Companies Division Management Board. 

Mainly capitalising on internal talent, these appointments support the Manutan Group’s development and vision.
