Manutan supports inclusive sport and announces a partnership with Novosports

13 October 2023

As part of its CSR strategy and commitment to inclusion, Manutan, a major player in B2B e-commerce, has announced a partnership with the charity Novosports, which aims to create a new approach to sport that brings together able-bodied and disabled people.

On the occasion of its new partnership with Novosport, Manutan is making its 1,000 m2 sports centre, located at the Group’s head office in Gonesse, available to three charities.  Every Friday morning members of the charities Cap'devant, APAJH and DK-BEL will be able to use the facilities on the Manutan campus

Manutan will also be organising meetings between disabled people and its employees. A first event will be organised in November, to coincide with Disability Week.

This project will enable the company to develop inclusive sport by offering activities suitable for everyone, and to promote the intrinsic values of sport such as team spirit and enjoying exertion, while contributing to the personal development of its employees.

Nathalie Cara, Work Environment Manager, says: “Our support for Novosports and the charities it supports is an excellent opportunity to promote inclusion and raise awareness of disabilities within Manutan. Against a backdrop of profound changes in the way people relate to work, the most inclusive companies also appear to be the most competitive.”

Sports at the heart of the Manutan strategy

Yoga, archery, squash, basketball, cardio boxing... more than 15 sporting activities are on offer at the Manutan sports centre, which is open to all employees for an annual fee of €50. Open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., it has a two weight training rooms, a cardio gym, a multi-sports court, a climbing wall, and squash courts.

Our priority mission is to develop the employee experience, and sport is a fantastic way of achieving this,” says Nathalie Cara.
In addition to Novosports, Manutan is also a partner of Sports dans la Ville (Sport in the City), a charity supporting professional integration through sport, and the Fédération Française du Sport d'Entreprise (FFSE - French Federation of Sport in Business), hosting their annual seminar.
