Casal Sport has been double certified in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).
This year, Casal Sport has been awarded the dual "Engaged CSR" and "Responsibility Europe" labels by AFNOR (French Standardisation Association). Based on ISO 26000, these benchmark labels assess organisations' maturity in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This recognition rewards the commitments and initiatives undertaken by the French leader in sports equipment for communities across all its activities.
The dual label is based on a framework consisting of 55 evaluation criteria. It is renowned for its rigorous certification process and alignment with international standards such as the UN Global Compact's 10 principles, GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards, and the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Casal Sport was evaluated on aspects including governance, human resources, working conditions, production and consumption practices, and local integration. As a result, the company achieved the confirmed level, equivalent to level 3 out of 4 of the label.
Laurent Michel, Deputy General Manager of Casal Sport, adds: "This success is the result of collective effort and strong commitment from all our employees. To sustain this momentum of innovation towards sustainability, we also collaborate closely with our partners and clients, convinced that together we will meet tomorrow's challenges."
Casal Sport is now focused on structuring its action plan for the coming years, aiming for continuous improvement. Inclusion, working environment, downstream carbon footprint, and eco-responsible offerings constitute key strategic areas.
This dual certification reaffirms Manutan Group's commitment to a fairer society, a more sustainable planet, and a more responsible business model, echoing its mission: to strive for a better world.
