Manutan supports french local authorities in developing responsible procurement policies
The Manutan Group has launched a unique programme to assist French local authorities in developing their responsible procurement policies. This initiative, spearheaded by Manutan Collectivités and Papeteries Pichon, is based on the sharing of structured and relevant information related to customer consumption. Beyond being a first in the local authority market, this represents significant added value for public procurement professionals who are facing increasing regulations in this area.
This programme, called “RSE 360,” places data at the heart of driving responsible procurement policies. It involves sharing precise information, in an accessible format, with public sector procurement teams.
Today, this approach is embodied in two flagship services:
AGEC Declaration Support
This report logs all expenses related to the purchase of goods made from reused, recycled materials or those incorporating recycled content, helping our clients fulfil their annual declarations under the AGEC law.
Did you know?
Currently, 55% of public procurement professionals find the implementation of the AGEC law challenging. This is particularly due to a lack of awareness of suppliers and service providers, as well as the complexity of identifying eligible products.*
RSE Report
This report shares all key information related to our client’s purchases across the three pillars of CSR: economic, social, and environmental. For example, it details total purchase amounts, categories of products purchased, eco-friendly and/or French-made products, and purchases that comply with AGEC law requirements. This enables local authorities to understand their consumption, identify areas for improvement, and communicate their results effectively.
Philippe Mallard, Managing Director of Manutan Group’s Local Authority Division, adds: "In 2024, as France continues to strengthen its environmental and social commitments, local authorities have access to tools and partners that ease this transition. These solutions demonstrate how targeted innovation and support can turn challenges into opportunities for a more sustainable future."
Through this programme, the Manutan Group aims to guide its client’s towards a more responsible model by helping public organisations play a key role in developing a circular, sustainable, and responsible economy.
