Manutan Reduces Energy Consumption at its European Centre
As part of its CSR strategy, the Manutan Group has committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. In line with this goal, the company has completely renewed the lighting system at its European Centre in Gonesse (95). This relamping operation, entrusted to Perfesco (an EDF subsidiary) in collaboration with Signify and MCE, has significantly reduced its electricity consumption.
The renovation work lasted over six months. All luminaires were replaced with LED technology, coupled with various other solutions: presence detection, lighting adaptation based on natural light, and IoT (Internet of Things) to measure progress.
Mathieu Dubois, Maintenance and Technical Services Manager at Manutan, comments: “Following this relamping operation, we have recorded an average reduction in electricity consumption of nearly 25% at our headquarters! This result is perfectly aligned with our environmental ambitions. Economically, this should also allow us to achieve a return on investment very quickly, within three years.”
This operation enables the European leader in B2B e-commerce to optimise its energy consumption while improving the comfort and safety of its employees. More concretely, this represents a reduction of more than 1.25 GWh of electricity per year. In terms of its carbon ambition, this equates to 100 tonnes of CO2 saved.
At Manutan, we aim to actively contribute to a more sustainable planet. This project is a concrete demonstration of our commitment to decarbonisation, addressing major global challenges.
