Manutan expands its range with a new ‘Sports & Leisure’ category to meet the growing importance of workplace wellbeing

19 May 2025

As part of its commitment to fostering fulfilling and sustainable work environments, Manutan, the European leader in B2B distribution of equipment and supplies, is launching a new product category dedicated to Sports & Leisure. This initiative reflects the company’s desire to support evolving workplace expectations, particularly around employee wellbeing and team cohesion.

A comprehensive offering to enhance workplace quality of life

In a context where wellbeing at work is increasingly seen as a strategic performance driver, physical activity in the workplace stands out as a key contributor to engagement and team spirit. In fact, 87% of business leaders believe that regular exercise significantly improves workplace wellbeing and strengthens team cohesion¹. Encouraging physical activity boosts motivation, reduces absenteeism, and improves overall productivity.

Staying true to its mission to help clients build stimulating workspaces, Manutan now offers a comprehensive Sports & Leisure range, specifically designed to promote physical activity at work.

Since 17 February, over 1,600 product listings have already been made available on the Manutan website, with plans to expand the range to 2,300 items. The new Sports & Leisure category covers four key areas:

  • Outdoor sports: athletics, multi-sport equipment, outdoor installations
  • Fitness and wellbeing: strength training, gym equipment, sports bags and accessories
  • Team and racket sports: football, basketball, tennis, badminton
  • Water and combat sports: swimming, martial arts, boxing

“With this new range, we reaffirm our commitment to helping companies create workplaces that support employee fulfilment and team cohesion. Our ambition is to be a long-term partner in promoting workplace wellbeing,” says Grégoire Dorsemaine, Group Category Management Director at Manutan

A range co-developed with CASAL SPORT, a sector expert

To build this offer, Manutan draws on the expertise of its subsidiary CASAL SPORT, a leading provider of sports equipment for local authorities. Acquired in 2012, CASAL SPORT brings over 45 years of experience in outfitting sports facilities and supplying equipment to schools, clubs, and community organisations, across more than 150 sports disciplines. This expertise enables Manutan to offer a high-quality, competitively priced product range tailored to professional needs.

The company also ensures optimised logistics through direct delivery from CASAL SPORT’s headquarters in Altorf (67), near Strasbourg.

An external commitment backed by internal action

In addition to its commercial offering, Manutan's commitment to the development and well-being of its teams is embodied within its own organisation. For more than 10 years, its Gonesse campus has had a sports centre dedicated to employees. It includes a large gymnasium, a cardio-training room, a cardio-musculation room, two squash courts and a 7-metre climbing wall. The in-house team, supported by external organisations, partners and instructors, offers around fifteen weekly activities throughout the year, as well as events that punctuate the Centre Sportif calendar. It also makes its facilities available to partner associations such as Novosports, which promotes inclusive sport, Sport dans la Ville, which supports the social and professional integration of young people through sport, and the Val d'Oise fire brigade. In addition to its internal success, with more than a quarter of the company's employees practising at least one of the disciplines on offer, Manutan's sports project was awarded Workplace Active Certification (WAC) in April 2024.

“The Sports Centre is fully aligned with our company vision. It reflects our ambitions and values-performance and continuous improvement, positive human relations, and kindness-which are essential to our culture,” explains Nathalie Cara, Head of Workplace Environment at Manutan
