Manutan rolls out pay transparency
As Europe’s leading B2B e-commerce group, Manutan is committed to building a better society. We are now rolling out a comprehensive pay transparency framework across the Group, in line with the European Pay Transparency Directive. As one of the first companies to implement this transformation on such a broad scale, we’re reaffirming our commitment to creating a clearer, more responsible and more sustainable approach to pay.
Pay transparency: building trust and driving progress
The European Pay Transparency Directive is designed to tackle pay discrimination, strengthen workplace equality and reduce unjustified pay gaps between women and men performing the same work, or work of equal value.
Antoine Dru, HR Director, Compensation & Benefits for Manutan France and Corporate Functions, explains: "The Directive represents a real opportunity for both the business and our people. It makes pay levels and career progression more transparent, clarifies the principles behind pay decisions, and ultimately strengthens trust across our teams."
Pay transparency also encourages more open and constructive conversations about remuneration by making the principles that guide pay decisions clear and accessible.
Laying the foundations for a fairer and more transparent pay policy
To bring this ambition to life, we’ve introduced a common Group-wide framework and shared principles for pay transparency.
This initiative builds on two years of extensive work to establish a consistent job grading system across our 25 subsidiaries, covering more than 2,400 employees. Independently certified, our job evaluation methodology is based on five objective and harmonised criteria: skills, complexity, responsibility, autonomy and organisational impact.
This common framework now forms the foundation of our remuneration policy, enabling us to apply clear, consistent and fair pay practices across the Group.
The framework also sits at the heart of our talent management approach. Our HR teams and managers have been trained to embed these principles into their day-to-day decision-making and people management.
Beyond regulatory compliance, pay transparency reflects our ambition to provide the best possible environment for our people to grow and develop, while delivering on our commitment to inclusion. As always, people remain at the heart of our strategy.
