Christian Touni

Facilities and Mail Services Manager
Manutan France

Christian Touni joined the Manutan Group 35 years ago. From logistics to workplace management at our European Centre, he shares the story of his career path.

What has been your journey at Manutan France?

I started at the company as a temporary packer. I immediately felt like I had joined a big family, with great prospects ahead — which motivated me to build my career here. Over the years, I’ve held several roles in the warehouse: order picker, forklift operator, inbound team leader, stock manager, and then stock management expert. Eventually, I changed direction and joined the workplace management team as Facilities and Mail Services Manager.

Which achievements stand out to you the most?

As stock management lead, I was tasked with helping a team upskill to reduce the saturation rate in one of our warehouses. In just six months, we exceeded our targets, thanks to everyone’s dedication.

And of course, there was our move to the European campus! We had to prepare for the relocation and train on new technologies like geothermal energy, rainwater harvesting, and the building’s control system. I learnt a lot – it was really exciting!

Do you have an anecdote to share with us?

One Saturday, I was taking part in one of my very first warehouse inventories. At lunchtime, Jean-Pierre Guichard, the founder, arrived with some ribeye steaks for a barbecue! He sat down next to me and started chatting like we were old friends. It was the first time I had seen a company leader so close to his teams!

What made you want to stay all these years?

The company has grown significantly, yet it’s managed to keep that family spirit. I also have a lot of trust in our leadership team and the strength of our business model. Over the years, we’ve always risen to the challenge and adapted when needed. Finally, this is a company that genuinely cares about its employees and their well-being. You can see it on-site – in the Sports Centre, the staff Restaurant – but also in the career progression opportunities. That’s not something you find everywhere.

Stories like Christian’s highlight the mutual commitment between the company and its people — a place where you can grow, evolve, and thrive in a culture shaped by human values like sharing, kindness, and learning. Fancy joining the adventure?  Explore our job offers
