Manutan hosts METI and “Les Entreprises s’engagent” Community on the occasion of a partnership signing

15 March 2024

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the Movement of Intermediate-Sized Enterprises (METI) and “Les Entreprises s’engagent” Community signed a partnership to mobilise intermediate-sized enterprises (ETIs) in favour of a more inclusive society and a sustainable world.

The event took place at the European headquarters of the Manutan Group, attended by representatives from METI, the Community, and Manutan employees.

Following a series of exchanges with young talents and mentors, along with inspiring speeches, the various stakeholders proceeded with the official signing of the partnership. Thus, METI, along with its 6,200 member companies (including Manutan), joins a unique coalition of private organisations, government services, decision-makers, associations, and leaders, all ready to tackle the major social, societal, and environmental challenges of our time.

This partnership pursues two main objectives:

  1. Develop a joint advocacy and communication effort aimed at spreading the culture of corporate engagement within the METI community, thus encouraging ETIs to continue and strengthen their actions with young people, people with disabilities, priority neighbourhoods', etc.
  2. Support ETIs in their commitments through concrete actions provided by "Les Entreprises s’engagent” Community, such as the development of mentoring policies, recruiting young people distant from employment, etc.

Pierre-Olivier Brial, CEO of the Manutan Group and vice-president of METI, adds: "ETIs like Manutan have a role to play in contributing to the construction of a fairer and more inclusive society. Alongside the 'Businesses Engage' Community, we aim to act concretely by offering professional opportunities to the youngest audiences, people with disabilities, or in precarious situations, allowing everyone to find their place and participate in business projects offering them professional prospects and a framework for development."

At Manutan, we are proud to be part of this initiative, which resonates with our social mission. We are convinced that it is up to each company to provide the best environment for growth and development, including everyone with their uniqueness.
