Manutan X Google: Reflections on the Digital Acceleration Programme (DAP)

8 August 2024

The Manutan Group reflects on the ambitious digital acceleration programme by Google that it joined last year. Relying on a proven methodology and each other's expertise, this initiative facilitated work on five key transformation projects. Hanafi Chérif, E-commerce Director at Manutan Group, and François Maillard, Google DAP Manager at Google, share their experiences.

Together, they recount how the process unfolded, with method and pragmatism: "On March 6, 2023, we began the Discovery phase. This step is crucial as it allows Google to understand the organisation of Manutan, identify its experts, comprehend the technical environment, and subsequently, provide concrete and relevant solutions for Manutan. Based on this initial phase, we established a list of projects, which we then selected according to their value for Manutan and the complexity of implementation. The final phase is construction, during which everyone rolled up their sleeves to deliver the projects on time.

Thanks to this programme, the Manutan Group has pushed the boundaries of B2B e-commerce by focusing on two aspects of its digital strategy: improving the customer experience and the use of data

Throughout this journey, the two partners were driven by shared values: trust, ambition, innovation... This facilitated smoother collaboration, strengthened relationships, and boosted the long-term partnership. Hanafi adds: "We both aspire to write the history of our field. Google has been writing the history of tech for over 20 years, and Manutan is writing the history of B2B.
